Initial research and plans...

I have spent the day so far starting some initial research but I have mainly focused on finding out the exact details of what my research needs to fit the assessment criteria. As in the last assessment I found that my research was the main area which let my work down - it was not thorough enough and lacked diversity, particularly in terms of not gaining information from all different sources including gallery visits, books video/documentaries, interviews, focus groups (primary and secondary research). On reflection I found that the majority of my research was internet based which lacked depth and personal evaluation.

Importance of this blogtastic BLOG...

I intend to use this blog to record and evaluate the process of my Final Major Project. I will include any interesting research found, videos watched and useful websites as well as using the blog to reflect on what I have found and whether there are opportunities to use this research for further developments throughout the project.

I will also use the blog to post any photographic/video experiments that I have created as this will help improve the analysis of my work whilst also displaying the work so it is easier for someone else to understand or comment on - unlike a written diary/notebook.

This blog will also help me to keep consistently organised, particularly in terms of reflecting upon whether, each day, I have meet my stated intentions or plans that I've set myself. It will also show each process I have gone through and why these process were important in terms of creating my final outcome.
